Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care of horses to provide its services.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
We at the Illinois Horse Rescue of Will County strive to represent both horse and human interests by creating a forum which promotes personal growth through equine interaction and care, as well as learning and rehabilitation. This unique forum supports an environment of unconditional love and companionship in which rescued horses and people can work together towards healing each other. Both humans and horses gain a solid purpose, thereby strengthening their ability to be a positive force in the lives of others and of themselves.

Volunteer Opportunities

Great Volunteer Opportunity
Minimum Age: 16
Illinois Horse Rescue greatly depends on the generosity of its volunteers to help out with the daily care of the horses, chores of the barn and general maintenance. It is through the help of our volunteers that we are able to maintain the highest level of quality care to all of our horses.
