Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
To create a safer and more sane world through empowering young people, individuals, and families to live and act with kindness, compassion and wisdom in all facets of life.
We offer a multitude of equine related programs ranging from parenting classes to life skills and leadership development to wellness programs. We believe that horses are teachers and healers and we utilize their inherent abilities to improve the lives of youth and adults. Currently we offer Power Poniesâ„¢ an 8-week parenting program for kids ages 6-11 with an accompanying parent. Each Power Poniesâ„¢ student is assigned a horse that they work with throughout the 8-week program building on confidence and learning from their mentor, a graduated Power Poniesâ„¢ student. We offer Mighty Mustangsâ„¢, an 8-week continuing empowerment program for graduated Power Poniesâ„¢ students. We also offer Horse Warriorsâ„¢, a year-round youth leadership program for boys and girls ages 12-16. Most of our Horse Warriorsâ„¢ students mentor our Power Poniesâ„¢ students modeling teaching skills that they in turn teach to the next set of beginners. We also offer Pony Campâ„¢ a 3-day camp for boys and girls interested in horses and art. Giddyup Girlsâ„¢, an adult class, is a 3-day empowerment workshop for women who love horses. We also offer Horses of the Goddessâ„¢, a 5-day residential professional training workshop for therapists and instructors interested in EFP/EFL. In 2014 we initiated a free program called Cancer Kickersâ„¢, an equine based empowerment/healing program for those on the cancer journey. It includes sections for people with cancer, one for families of those with cancer, and one for caregivers of people with cancer. Lastly, we offer customized classes and lessons to meet individual needs, such as grief to gratitude instruction and organizational interface workshops, all incorporating the teaching and healing power of horses.
All of our programs incorporate the beneficial healing and teaching power of horses.
