Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The NSCD enables the human spirit through therapeutic sports and recreation. Each year more than 3,000 children and adults with disabilities participate in our programs to learn more about sports and themselves. The NSCD offers lessons in Western or English riding skills and therapeutic recreational activities. Learn basic horse care, grooming, horse health and behavior. Lessons can be booked for individual days or 5-week sessions

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
