Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Provide therapeutic riding and equine assisted activities to people 2 to 92 living with disabilities in central NH. In so doing, we strive for a safe and enabling environment for the health of our equine partners, clients, volunteers and staff.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Horse Handler
Minimum Age: 18
Lead a horse during astride lessons to provide safe effective therapy for clients 2 to 92 living with disabilities. Must have good understanding of horse behavior, and be able to walk and jog next to a horse for up to 30 minutes

Side-Walker During Astride Lessons
Minimum Age: 14
Provide physical/emotional support to clients during riding lessons. Must be able to walk /jog next to a horse for up to 30 minutes at a time. Responsible for client while they are involved with lessons, grooming their horse before and after lessons, etc.

Board Of Directors
Minimum Age: 18
Seeking person with good organizational skills willing to help bring BITS ETC to the next level of service delivery. Meeting a minimum of eight times per year, members will serve on various committees of the organization: Finance, Programs, Five Year Plan, Fund Raising, etc.
