Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Our mission is to partner people with horses and through these partnerships, help individuals, families and groups overcome lifeâ€™s challenges. We currently are serving both adults and children with great success. Our goal is to increase our mental health assistance to our veterans suffering from PTSD and other mental health challenges brought on by their service to our country.
Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
SPRING FARM CLEANINGMinimum Age: 15we are looking for volunteers to help with spring maintenance of our facilities. This includes pasture cleaning, stall cleaning, fence painting, and more. For every 10 hours of volunteering you can earn a horse back riding session or a riding lesson.
Black 2 Drawer File Cabinetswe are in need of 4 2 drawer locking black file cabinets to keep all records confidential.
Adjustable Helmetlooking to obtain 5 additional riding helmets for mounted therapy.
Small Couch For Therapy Officewe are currently in need of a couch for the therapy office for clients. We would appreciate a clean used one as a donation.
Child's SaddleWe are in need of a used western child's saddle for mounted therapy.
Outdoor Arena For Therapy SessionsWe are looking to expand the amount of clients we serve my adding an additional therapy space. We currently have an indoor arena where we can serve one client at a time for confidentiality reasons. If we are able to have an additional space we can server more clients simultaneously!
