Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization's primary activity is equine rescue & adoption.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

100% of our total programs and services are horse-related.

Our organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Our mission is to provide emotional healing through equine interaction, and to provide safe and restorative homes for retired racehorses. We utilize the retired racehorses (during the re-training and re-homing process) for equine assisted psychotherapy and equine assisted learning experiences for many different populations. We serve veterans, trauma survivors, PTSD symptom control, eating disorders, faith based populations and corporate team buildings.

Horse-related programs:
Retired racehorse re-habilitation, re-training and adoption services. These horses are utilized for equine assisted psychotherapy and learning services for the community while in their re-training program. STABLE SURVIVORS is our Veterans Project, which is provided as a partnership between Healing Arenas and the Modesto Vet Center, a VA funded combat veteran psychotherapy office.

Non-horse-related programs:
Non-horse Community service with organizations such as American Legion, Escalon Lions Club.
