Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Partnering with our horses, we challenge individuals with special needs to reach their fullest potential.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Office Volunteers
Minimum Age: 14
We are blessed with an up to date computer system and office equipment. With a very limited staff, InStride will always benefit from volunteers with a wide range of abilities in communications, marketing, fundraising, and general office skills.

Program Volunteers
Minimum Age: 14
We couldn't serve almost 100 riders weekly without dedicated volunteers to be trained as lead or side walkers, prepare horses and manage our program process.

Barn Help And Facility Maintenance
Minimum Age: 14
With both therapy horses and boarders, InStride is always in need of volunteers to groom, wash, and care for our horses. We are also blessed with 76 fenced partially wooded acres that require constant care and attention.

Wish List Items

Arena Drag Unit
To keep our covered arena safe and smooth for the comfort of our riders, side walkers and horses.

Even though we operate very efficiently, 70 percent of our costs are supported by donors, grants and charitable events. We accept Medicaid and lose 51 dollars for every half hour session, up to four thousand dollars annually per rider. Please support our riders and make a real difference.
