Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Rising Hope is a non-profit therapeutic riding program in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide recreational and therapeutic riding which develops physical, cognitive, social and emotional well being through equine assisted activities to all individuals in need.


Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities


Sidewalker Volunteer
Minimum Age: 14
Volunteers are extremely valued and appreciated in the Rising Hope program. Without dedicated volunteers, our program could not operate and serve the community and its individuals.

Rising Hope is looking for Sidewalker Voluteers to walk beside the individual receiving therapeutic riding instruction. Training is mandatory.
