Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Rising Hope is a non-profit therapeutic equine center in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide recreational and therapeutic riding contributing positively to the physical, cognitive, social and emotional well-being of individuals through equine assisted activities.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our organization conducts Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) programs with instructors, specialists, counselors, trainers and/or facilitators who have certified training for their scope of practice applicable to the people participating in the programs and specific to the program offerings - serving as staff (full-time or part-time), as independent contractors, and/or as service providers, serving in a volunteer capacity, or accompanying clients when participating in our programs.

Our organization provides community outreach and/or public education programs involving horses.

100% of our total programs and services are horse-related.

Our organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.

Volunteer Opportunities

Sidewalker Volunteer
Minimum Age: 14
Volunteers are extremely valued and appreciated in the Rising Hope program. Without dedicated volunteers, our program could not operate and serve the community and its individuals.

Rising Hope is looking for Sidewalker Voluteers to walk beside the individual receiving therapeutic riding instruction. Training is mandatory.
