Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The USU Equine-Human Science program strives to educate students, facilitate research and have a positive impact on our community through clinical services, extension outreach and equine assisted activities and therapies.
Our EAAT program provides equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) to a wide variety of individuals with differing abilities. This program offers a special focus on veterans and their families. In addition to our EAAT program, we offer several EAAT focused academic courses along with a variety of student run, equine focused community outreach programs including clinics, competitions and educational seminars.
Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization conducts Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) in accordance with the EQUUS Foundation Guidelines on Qualifications of Organizations Conducting Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT).
Our organization provides community outreach and/or public education programs involving horses.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
