Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
To empower children and adults facing special challenges - whether physical, cognitive or emotional - to discover their abilities, independent skills and explore their potential through use of our nationally accredited safe and effective equine-assisted activities and therapy.

Volunteer Opportunities

Fundraising
We always need helping planning and executing our fundraising events, such as our annual garage sale, auctions, dinners, clinics and rides. No special skills needed but it does help to be organized!

Office Volunteer
These volunteers help with various office tasks such as updating data bases, stuffing envelopes for mailers, writing articles for the newsletter, filing, making posters and flyers for events. We will find a task that suits your skills and interests.

Lesson Volunteer
Minimum Age: 14
Lesson volunteers help in the riding sessions, either leading the horse or as a sidewalker to support the rider. These volunteers also help the students find the right tack for their horses, groom their horses and tack up their horses. Volunteers and students often form quite a bond before the quarter is over. No horse experience necessary -we train you thoroughly.
