Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Chief Joseph Foundation enables local leadership to facilitate maturation of reservation and local youth. Youth/equestrian programs are used to engage at-risk youth in real life situations. Youth gain coping skills and commitment toward achievement. Efforts are carried out in the context of education, cultural preservation, community interaction and relationship healing.
