Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of GHETC is to provide disabled children, youth and adults quality programs designed to augment their independence, personal potential and quality of life. Using the equine as its tool and its 20-acre facility as a classroom, Good Hope is committed to annually expanding program services to meet the educational, recreational and rehabilitative needs of South Florida’s culturally diverse disabled populations.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities
Minimum Age: 14
Good Hope is seeking volunteers to serve as horse handlers, side walkers and spotters during our Equine Assisted Activities. In order to make our EAA sessions run smoothly, we rely on our trained volunteers to assist us during our programming. We believe that “hands on training” is the best approach, so we have our new volunteers shadow our trained staff and volunteers until they are ready to handle their assigned duties. We have weekday and weekend opportunities available.
