Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of Hope Springs Equestrian Therapy is to enhance the quality of life of individuals with disabilities or behavioral challenges by providing them with affordable therapeutic riding and horse-assisted activities in a warm, safe and familiar environment.


Volunteer Opportunities


Side Walker/Instructor Assistant
Minimum Age: 15
Volunteer helps rider and instuctor during therapeutic horseback riding session, including grooming and tacking before lesson, side walking or leading during lesson and untacking after lesson. Experience helpful but not required. Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer training program.

Show And Camp Volunteer
Minimum Age: 15
Volunteers needed to assist with half-day Spring/Fall horse shows and Saturday/Summer/Winter horse camps. Volunteers help riders and instructors during each half-day session, including tacking and untacking horses, side walking or leading during the show or camp day, and assisting students with educational activities. Fund-Raising Event Volunteer
Minimum Age: 18
Volunteers needed to help with fund raising events throughout the year, including our annual fall fundraiser, Hopes and Dreams (www.hope-springs.org/HopesAndDreams). Volunteers may help with planning, preparation, drumming up donations and sponsors, and/or helping out during each event. Every bit of help is welcome!
