Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of the Therapeutic Riding Center (TRC)is to empower people with physical and developmental challenges to discover their greatest strengths and gain a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance through the special relationship with a horse.


Volunteer Opportunities


Volunteers Needed
Minimum Age: 13
Classes are available for volunteers Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Volunteers need to tack, untack, lead, sidewalk, arena setup, horseshows and fundraising. Fill out volunteer form from our website at wwww.trchb.org or contact us at 714 313 0922

Sprinklers And Gutters
 A sprinkler system will help control dust throughout the arena. Properly maintained arenas require this addition to ensure adequate traction, proper footing, and a low-dust environment that is necessary for the safety of the horse, rider, and volunteers.  A gutter system will surround the arena, and is required by the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center to protect the water quality of the surrounding residential area (Estimated costs $7,000).
