Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Kopper Top Life Learning Center provides therapeutic, recreation therapy and educational opportunities to individuals with and without disabilities, using animals as therapists, to enhance and empower their quality of life.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Care And Maintenance Of Animals
Minimum Age: 14
Feed, bathe, groom and care for the animals on the farm.

Barn/Facility Maintenance
Minimum Age: 14
Clean up and maintain facility and pastures. Assist with general maintenance of the facility, such as repairs of the barn, fence and other needs.

Horse Handling
Minimum Age: 14
Lead and care for the horse while riders are mounted or dismounted.

Side Walker
Minimum Age: 14
Walk beside a horse and be able to secure a rider while mounted. Be able to hold your arm up over the horse's body for the rider.

Wish List Items

Nylon/Leather Saddles
Excellent to good condition, light weight saddles for our riders to be able to carry and saddle their horse. Various sizes would be appreciated.

Donations of alfalfa cubes, mixed grass hay and other hay resources for the animals.

Financial Resources For Veterinary And Farrier
Donations and resources to pay for veterinary/medical and farrier care for the horses
