Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Improving the health, increasing the confidence, and promoting the independence of persons with special needs through the use of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Side Walkers
Minimum Age: 14
We always need volunteers who love children and are physically fit to walk and jog while supporting a child on the horse. We need volunteers all day Wednesday & Thursday and Friday and Saturday mornings.

Horse Leaders
Minimum Age: 16
We always need horse-savvy volunteers to lead our horses during hippotherapy and therapeutic riding lessons. We need volunteers all day Wednesday & Thursday and Friday and Saturday mornings.

Wish List Items

Equine Hay Rings - 2
We need two equine hay rings for our pasture. Currently we are using cattle rings which are difficut for the horses to access and rubs their manes.

Manure Spreader
Currently we use a hand cart to collect manure and dump it by hand throughout the pasture.

ATV Or Gator
We would like some sort of a small vehicle to complete various barn and pasture chores as well as pull a manure spreader.
