Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Oakland School serves children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, disgraphia, and ADD/ADHD. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment in which the particular academic, emotional, and social needs of each student will be met through exceptional educational and extra-curricular programs and confidence-building social experiences. Programs include an equestrian program involving riding lessons, horse care, barn work, and participation in two horse shows a year.
