Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Helping Horseshoe Therapeutic Riding Club was established to provide assistance to programs which provide exceptional, safe, fun and educational recreational riding instruction to individuals with cognitive, physical or emotional disabilities. Helping Horseshoe provides the opportunity to experience the joy, strength and independence which horses can offer, while learning new skills, making new friends and many social, cognitive and physical benefits.
Leaders And Sidewalkers Always WelcomeMinimum Age: 14We need volunteers to assist our special needs riders during their recreational therapeutic riding lessons. Leaders lead the horse and side walkers stay with the rider to assist them directly.
Used Tack And Riding AttireWe accept used tack and riding attire. If we can't use it in our program or pass the clothing on to a rider we take it to a tack store to place on consignment in order to buy supplies.
New Arena WallsWe would like to replace our plywood in our arena this spring as it is in sad shape. 1/2 inch plywood or a gift card to Lowes or Home Depot to assist with the purchase of wood and stain would be wonderful
Horse ManagementWe are always in need of horse management items, such as dewormer, fly spray, grooming products etc. Any items we receive help us keep our lessons at a low price for our special needs riders
