Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Horse Welfare

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Founded in 1999, TIER - True Innocents Equine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that rescues abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses primarily in Southern California. By networking with local Animal Control Agencies, Humane Societies, and other rescue organizations, we strive to help as many horses as we can. Our adoption program helps our horses find Safe, Responsible, Loving, Caring homes while our Sanctuary horses remain under the care of TIER for the remainder of their time on earth. Through our Youth Outreach & Volunteer programs, these magnificent horses continue to unconditionally give of themselves as teachers to people of all ages!

Volunteer Opportunities

TIER is always in need of volunTIERs. From horse care to contacting community businesses, we have something for everyone to do.
Right now, we are searching for people with experience in:

We also always need people to help with the day to day labors of horse care. Cleaning stalls, feeding horses, scrubbing water buckets, grooming horses, etc.

We also welcome groups and organizations. Contact us to schedule your visit!
