Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs. Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
To provide individualized equine assisted activities to people with physical, developmental, emotional, and social disabilities. Pursuing this mission enriches the lives of our clients in a caring, safe, and challenging environment that will enable them to reach their full potential.
Robinson Ranch is the only minority owned and operated Equine Assisted Learning and Horse Therapy Center of its kind. Horsemanship skills are integrated with team building activities and experiential learning, to create unique programs tailored to individual needs. Horsemanship 101 begins with under privileged youth and their parents learning horse care in separate but parallel classes to foster communication. Classes continue through basic riding skills supporting the parent/child relationship . Horses are also used in therapeutic riding, hippotherapy classes, rural experience horse camps, and equine experiential learning programs in partnership with the YMCA of South Phoenix.
