Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
SMILES transcends traditional therapeutic methods by offering individuals, with special needs, of all ages, the joy of participating in an equine assisted program which provides social, emotional, physical and personal rewards.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our organization conducts Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) programs with instructors, specialists, counselors, trainers and/or facilitators (full-time, part-time, independent contractors, and/or service providers) who have certified training applicable for people with special needs and specific to the program offerings - either on staff or accompanying clients when participating in our programs

Our organization does not provide community outreach and/or public education programs involving horses.

100% of our total programs and services are horse-related.

Our organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.

*Guardians are organizations on the Equine Welfare Network that demonstrate a commitment to public transparency and accountability by their willingness to publish and share extensive data about their operations. The Guardian Designation is awarded annually.
