Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Rose of Sharon Equestrian School is dedicated to providing opportunities for children and youth with disabilities to develop basic horsemanship and stable management skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
Our organization conducts Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) programs with instructors, specialists, counselors, trainers and/or facilitators who have certified training for their scope of practice applicable to the people participating in the programs and specific to the program offerings - serving as staff (full-time or part-time), as independent contractors, and/or as service providers, serving in a volunteer capacity, or accompanying clients when participating in our programs.
