Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Our mission at Healing With Horses at Wildrose Horse Farm, Inc.,in Uncasville, CT is to rescue abused and neglected horses, rehabilitate and retrain them to provide them with care in our Equine Assisted Therapy Program. We facilitate an emphasis on an enjoyable and relaxing, experience for people with Emotional and Cognitive Disabilities which provides additional therapeutic benefits in the areas of socialization, posture, mobility, and an overall improved quality of life. Individuals may participate in horse-related activities to their maximum ability in an atmosphere of safety, support, structure, and socialization for the primary purpose of the intrinsic enjoyment of the activity.


Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
