#RideForHorses is our campaign to inspire horse lovers to become horse protectors, and to educate the public on the importance of the horse-human bond in America today - a bond that has existed for centuries. We believe horses enrich the human body and spirit.
Whether you are a competing equestrian, a pleasure rider, or someone who loves horses — everyone can do something to ensure that America's horses live in comfort and with purpose and dignity.
We are very excited to share with you our new program that has replaced the #RideForHorses Best Performance Competition.
The new program is really simple! When you join our #RideForHorses campaign, you can also select their favorite #RideForHorses Athlete. Our #RideForHorses Athletes are professional equestrians who demonstrate that success is measured not only by winning but by making the quality of life of their equine partners paramount and have lent their names in support of our mission.
The #RideForHorses Athletes and their fans with the largest numbers of fans on December 31, 2018 will have grants awarded in their name and the name of their fans to deserving equine charities that are dedicated to safeguarding the comfort and dignity of horses throughout their lives and sharing their ability to empower, teach and heal with as many people as possible.
Horses do so much for us. This is what you can do for them!
Please join our #RideForHorses campaign and help ensure that horses in transition, including sport horses when their competitive careers are over, are able to continue to flourish not just as athletes, but also as companions, teachers and healers.
Currently, our #RideForHorses Athletes represent the hunter and jumper disciplines with the goal going forward to embrace all disciplines that wish to participate and honor their outstanding athletes.
For the hunter and jumper disciplines, the current WCHR Professional Hunter and Rolex Show Jumping rankings are considered in the selection of #RideForHorses Athletes.
