Horses provide an extraordinary experience
that no other therapy can.

There are over 200,000 unwanted horses in the US. Tragically many are slaughtered when many of them can lead productive lives serving people with special needs. The EQUUS Foundation provides funds to qualified equine charities that have the expertise to "rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and rehome" these amazing creatures, but funding is sorely lacking.
• $10 buys two bales of hay.
• $25 will feed a horse for one week.
• $50 provides hoof care for one horse.
• $100 provides dental care for two horses.
• $500 covers 10 weeks of equine therapy sessions.
Established in Westport, Connecticut, the EQUUS Foundation has been serving local equine charities dedicated to improving the quality of life of horses and making equine therapy available to more people since 2002. Now nationwide and serving over 900 charities across the United States, the EQUUS Foundation makes a difference "Near and Far"!
All funds raised for the EQUUS Foundation during Fairfield County Giving Day on March 10th will be directed to equine facilities serving Fairfield County.
