Sip & Shop For Horse Welfare at the Spirit Award Reception on February 25th!

The EQUUS Foundation invites all horse lovers to attend the EQUUS Foundation Spirit Award Reception in Wellington, Florida, on February 25th for the presentation of the Spirit Award, established in 2023 by the EQUUS Foundation to honor equestrians who have significantly elevated the image and desirability of horses.

The EQUUS Foundation will be honoring Thomas O'Mara, President of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and David O'Connor, USEF Chief of Sport and former USEF President, for their role in adopting the "Social License to Operate" initiative and making the welfare of America's horses paramount in equestrian sport.

Sip & Shop For Horse Welfare!

Not only will guests attending enjoy a lively conversation about what lays ahead for equestrian sport, there will also be the opportunity for some shopping thanks to EQUUS Foundation Gift Sponsors -- Ariat, Cugini Wine, Elite Island Resorts, EquiParent, Kroop's Sunglasses, The Mixed Bag, Sixteen Cypress, and the Wrangler Coffee Company.

All proceeds of sales will directly benefit EQUUS Foundation Guardian charities. Only equine charities that undergo a rigorous review of their business and equine welfare practices are eligible to receive financial support from the EQUUS Foundation.

National #HorseProtector Week Kicks Off on February 25th!

In association with the celebration, the EQUUS Foundation will be announcing the launch of National #HorseProtector Week -- a week-long campaign to encourage all horse lovers to take the EQUUS Foundation #HorseProtector Pledge - and say "YES" - that all horses should be protected, respected, and safe throughout their lives.

The EQUUS Foundation was founded 21 years ago by horse people who realized that many, many thousands of horses in the United States are at risk for abuse and neglect after their initial careers are over or after they change hands and "fall through the cracks", through no fault of their own.

Most horses will have an average of 7 different homes and owners in their lifetimes. They depend on us to keep them safe and thriving. Where They Go Next Is Up To Us!

ABOUT EQUUS FOUNDATION: The EQUUS Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity established in 2002, is the only national animal welfare charity in the United States 100% dedicated to protecting America's horses from peril and strengthening the bond between people and horses.
