Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
At Wings of Eagles Ranch, we strive to improve the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children and adults with special needs along with the at-risk youth population. Through the use of therapeutic horseback riding and outdoor activities, all are challenged to grow and develop in a supportive Christian environment.
We are a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) member center and we adhere to their standards for safety and operations. Since 1998 we have of served the special needs community in Cabarrus County and the surrounding areas. Hundreds of riders have consistently taken part in our program since it began.
Volunteer OpportunitiesMinimum Age: 14Wings of Eagles Ranch is always looking for volunteers to help facilitate a safe riding environment for our special riders. We are always in need of Horse Leaders (horse experience a must), side-walkers and barn help. All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
Work days are another area where we are in need. From clearing trails, to building/repairing barns & fencing to helping us keep up with the Ranch house maintenance. We also have a community garden which is in high need of volunteers during the summer months.
