Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center is to provide equine-assisted activities and therapies to individuals with mental, physical, social, emotional and sensory disabilities.


Volunteer Opportunities


Barn Help
Minimum Age: 14
Stall cleaning, sweeping, filling/dumping water buckets, horse turn out; general cleaning in view room and/or volunteer lounge.

Sidewalker
Minimum Age: 14
Walking along side student during class. Primary responsibility is the student’s safety. Assists student to maintain balance, when they are unable to do so for themselves. Reminds student of tasks that are being asked of them.

Horse Leader
Minimum Age: 14
Maintains control of the horse during class.
