Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Our Mission is to assist individuals with special needs in reaching their full potential through interaction with horses.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Volunteer Opportunities

Sidwalker Volunteers To Assist Instructors
Minimum Age: 18
Several Volunteers are needed to become sidewalkers on a lesson to assist the Instructors and riders. Great opportunity to administer and learn more about therapeutic riding lessons. Fall 2016 timeline (Sept-Nov, 2016). Demo and teaching available. Stay with same Instructor, horse, rider weekly. Fun!

Wish List Items

Therapy Horse 15 Hands
Therapy Horse donation needed to give lessons for children with disabilities. Prefer 15 hand horse. Must be bomb proof/very gentle to be a therapeutic horse. Desire retired show ring horses who have been handled all their lives. Prefer a Haflinger Breed. Must have health records and Vet approved for therapy work.

Round Pen Panels (up To 150 Feet)
Round Pen Panels are desperately need to build a 150 foot roundpen with a gate. Must be 50 feet in diameter across. This enables the Instructors to administer the Therapeutic lessons safely within a roundpen, and provide circles and patterns to build cognitive development on children with disabilities. We'd be forever grateful!
