Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Horse Welfare

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
We exist to make a difference in the lives of horse owners and horses. Our purpose is to stimulate interest in horse related activities and
provide help to horses and owners in need. We believe that through our efforts we will strengthen the horse community, provide relief for
horses in need and help revive the horse economy.

BITS proactive and innovative programs to help resolve issues facing horses today.
-Low cost gelding clinics including cryptorchid
-Low cost vet and dental services;
-Assistance to owners in short term financial crisis to keep the horses healthy until the owner is back on their feet or the horse is re-homed;
-Proper and thorough rehab, retraining and re-homing of horses in need;
-Education and outreach to the public and public agencies to recognize neglect and abuse;
-Clinics to introduce horse owners to new equine sports so they continue to enjoy and keep their horses as well as provide the horse skills needed to stay a "wanted" horse;
-More programs to come to keep horses in homes!

Minimum Age: 17
BITS is looking for team members to assist at clinics , with hay bank help, as site checkers and follow up checks for adopters , and several other volunteer opportunities both hands on and with computer help.

DVM And CVT And Facilitiy Owners Needed!
We would like to expand our low cost clinics . Currently we are servicing the Sacramento area but have overwhelming requests to expand to other areas. If you can offer the use of your facility or services to help perform gelding and end suffering in horses for horses that are owned by people who will not provide the services unless they can easily afford it or have an incentive to perform it please use the Contact Us feature. We would like to expand our low cost clinics. Currently we hold low cost gelding and euthanasia clincs to help control overpopulation and suffering in the Sacramento California area.
To expand these clinics we would need volunteers and facilities in other areas and of course DVM's willing to participate at low cost. Please contact with any help you can offer using the Contact Us feature.
