Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of Strongwater is to enhance and enrich lives by providing education, social opportunities and emotional support for its communities through equine assisted therapies and activities. Since its inception in 2001, Strongwater has benefitted thousands of children and adults from throughout Northeast Massachusetts.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization's primary activity is equine retirement.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Internship Opportunities: Internships/Service Learning currently provided to: Boston University, Lesley University, Merrimack College, Middlesex College, Northshore College, Salem State, UMASS – Lowell, UMASS – Amherst, and others are welcome.
