Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
To provide equine facilitated therapuetic and recreational services and a loving, supportive community for children with special physical and emotional needs and their families in Okaloosa and Walton counties.
Horse And Barn Care TeamsLearn the basics of horse and barn care up through supervision of other care teams, depending on horse experience and physical ability. Always lots of good physical labor available so drop that gym membership! Prefer commitment to at least one two hour slot per week.
Administrative And Volunteer Coordination WorkMinimum Age: 16Support weekly ride schedule with contact and encouragement of volunteers working with GRACE riders. Recording keeping and email and phone work required. Can be done from home. Two hours per week, spread throughout the week as scheduling requires.
Sidewalkers And Horse HandlersMinimum Age: 14This is hands on work with our riders. It is physical work that involves walking and jogging as a part of a weekly riding session. Commitment is for 1 hour slot per week minimum for a 10 week session. You will love it.

Rider Scholarship SponsorsWe would love to cut down our waiting list of riders needing scholarship support for a 10 week session of therapeutic riding. You can sponsor a ride for $400 for the ten week session.
