Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Horses Help is a premier accredited therapeutic and recreational agency that serves the special needs population by providing activities to empower them to break through physical, cognitive and emotional barriers using a unique collaboration of horses and people within Arizona's "Valley of the Sun".

Volunteer Opportunities

Barn Buddy
Minimum Age: 14
Barn Buddies help care for our special herd by feeding, grooming, and exercising.

Therapeutic Riding Instructors In Training
Minimum Age: 19
These individuals are mentored through an intensive training to work with the special needs population. Instructors in training go through and interview process to be selected to participate in training leading up to a national workshop and certification.

Marketing And Event Volunteers
Minimum Age: 18
These volunteers work directly with Staff to work in collective teams to plan and execute fundraising events for the center.

Side Walkers And Coaches
Minimum Age: 14
Side walkers and coaches act as safety side nets during therapeutic riding sessions. These individuals work with special needs clients during class.

Horse Handlers
Minimum Age: 16
Specially trained horse handlers lead horses during therapeutic riding sessions.

Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are always welcome from Home Depot, Grocery stores and Costco!

Office Items
We always accept computer paper, paper towels, toilet paper, and basics to keep our center clean and organized.

We Love Gently Used Tack
We love to accept donations for gently used tack and riding apparel. We used these items at the center, donate them to some of our 4-H kiddos and sell the rest in our onsite used tack store to keep hay in our barn!
