Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of Horse Haven of Tennessee (HHT) is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home God’s neglected or abused equine through programs of shelter, adoption, and education across the state of Tennessee.

HHT was formed in 1999 when a concerned citizen realized there were no animal care services for horses. Since then, more than 1,000 horses have been cared for by the only nonprofit equine rescue serving the entire state of Tennessee.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Horse Welfare

Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.

Our organization's primary activity is equine rescue & adoption.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

100% of our total programs and services are horse-related.

Our organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.
