Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The mission of JoyRide Center, Inc. is to help people with different abilities find more joy in life through equine-assisted activities and therapies along with functional/life skills education.
Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
100% of our total programs and services are horse-related.
Our organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.
Horse LeadersMinimum Age: 14People with extensive previous horse experience are needed to lead the horse for our special riders. Must be a sidewalker for a semester and then try-out to be a leader by demonstrating knowledge of safe and effective horse handling skills.
SidewalkerMinimum Age: 14Sidewalkers need not have any previous experience with horses. They walk beside the special riders to help with balance and focus.
Paper Products/office Supplies/cleaning ProductsWe can always use paper towels, toilet paper, printer paper, staples, paper clips, file folders and other office supplies, Clorox wipes, window cleaners, hand soap
Horse Tack/ Horse SuppliesEnglish or western saddles, bridles, blankets, fly spray, horse meds, paste wormers.
