Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

75%% of our total programs and services are horse-related.

Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Nature's Edge Therapy Center, Inc. provides the highest quality intensive rehabilitation by qualified and licensed staff to our patients and their families in a safe, natural and motivational setting, promoting the human-animal bond. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate our patients' independence and integration into family, school, and society.

Horse-related programs:
We provide speech, occupational and physical therapy and utilize hippotherapy with most of our patients. We also utilize the horse for equine assisted activities including our "Reminiscing on the Farm" program.

Non-horse-related programs:
We utilize the cow, donkey, sheep, dogs (4), llama, pot-bellied pigs, cats, bird, ferret, and chinchilla to assist in our physical, occupational and speech therapy sessions.

Volunteers Needed For Our Programs
Minimum Age: 12
We provide Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy to patients with disabilities. We also have a Reminiscing on the Farm program for senior citizens. Volunteers can assist with ground maintenance, assisting in sidewalking and animal interactions with our patients, fundraising, gardening, arts and crafts, office and barn assisting
