Our organization operates programs involved with horse rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, adoption and/or retirement.
Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.
Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Horses Healing Heroesâ€™ mission is to provide a positive environment and caring professionals to help those in need, by utilizing the proven healing effects of Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), serving those suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other psychological and emotional issues.
TherapistMinimum Age: 25LMTF, LCSW, PSYD, PMHNs, MD, DO, professionals that are interested in working in the Equine Assisted Theraphy field.
Facility MaintenanceMinimum Age: 16Provide general repair and upkeep of the buildings and fencing.
Horse HandlersMinimum Age: 14Provide basic animal care, exercising, washing, grooming, feeding, stall and paddock maintenance.
Horse TrainerMinimum Age: 21Provide basic tuning up of program horses, to ensure they can safely work around a wide range of people.
Stable Club1000 members in our Stable Club at $10 per month. The funds provide the basic operating capital to care for the horses and associated cost of providing services to the general public.
