Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
The Autism Society of North Carolina provides support and promotes opportunities that enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.\r\n\r\nThe Autism Society of North Carolina owns and operates Camp Royall, the nation\'s largest and oldest camp for individuals with autism. Camp Royall offers therapeutic horseback riding to campers with autism during its programs throughout the year.
Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation): Public Service
Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.Our organization uses horses to provide our services that are cared for and sheltered by another organization(s).
Riding HelmetsThe Autism Society of North Carolina's Camp Royall needs riding helmets in children and adult sizes.
Alley PanelsThe Autism Society of North Carolina's Camp Royall needs alley panels to replace aging parts of our riding pen.
