Our Mission/How we are involved with horses:
Spring Reins of Life is dedicated to promoting psychological healing, emotional well-being and personal growth using the skills of mental health professionals and the assistance of horses. For thousands of years there has been a unique bond between humans and horses, it is our mission to enhance and leverage this bond to reach those individuals who are suffering from the effects of trauma, loss, drug addiction and/or the combined stressors and obstacles set forth by either circumstance or societal confines. The main concentration for Spring Reins of Life's EAP Services is directed towards: At Risk Youth, Military Veterans with PTSD and their Families, and Childhood Bereavement. Addiction services will be added shortly.

Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service

Our organization operates programs involved with providing equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) using certified instructors for individuals with special needs.

Our organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of horses.

Spring Reins of Life is completely run by volunteers, this allows the majority of every dollar we raise to be allocated toward programming costs for trauma survivors and services, not salaries. This brings us to a group of very dedicated, committed and passionate volunteers. We seek a number of skilled volunteers to accomplish some important tasks. The following talents are needed:

Event Planning
Website support
Administrative tasks
Database management
Grant writing
Event staff support

If you have expertise in any of these areas and would like to see your efforts benefit others, please contact us.
