Buick & GMC - Adding Horse Power to the Fairfield June Show benefitting The EQUUS Foundation

WESTPORT, CT - May 6, 2011 - Buick and GMC are extremely proud to be the official Car and Truck Sponsors of the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show and The EQUUS Foundation. Like the power and precision of the exceptional horses and athletes that will be competing, both of these iconic automotive brands exemplify the highest levels of quality, capability and performance.

The show offers free admission to the public and will be held on Tuesday-Saturday, June 21-25, 2011, on the beautiful grounds of the Fairfield County Hunt Club at 174 Long Lots Road in Westport, Connecticut. The five-day show is fun for everyone, with over 250 classes in which national and local equestrians of all ages compete; and social activities and shopping at the show's Paddock Boutiques, offering clothing, jewelry, home accessories and gifts. Buick and GMC will also host the Exhibitor BBQ on Thursday, June 23, 2011, which is complimentary to all exhibitors, owners, trainers and attendants, thanks to Buick and GMC.

Today, Buick is a modern luxury brand offering vehicles with beautifully sculpted designs, luxurious interiors with thoughtful personal technologies, and responsive-yet-efficient performance. Buick is attracting new customers with its portfolio of award-winning models, including the Enclave crossover, LaCrosse sedan, Regal sport sedan and the highly anticipated all-new 2012 Buick Verano compact luxury sedan. Buick was the fastest growing major brand in the U.S. in 2010 and remains a best-selling brand in China with continuing record growth.

GMC has built trucks since 1902 and is one of the industry's strongest and most recognized brands. Today, GMC is evolving to offer more fuel-efficient trucks and crossovers, including the Terrain small SUV and Acadia crossover. Innovation and engineering excellence are woven into all GMC models including the new GMC Sierra Heavy Duty pickups - the most capable and powerful trucks in the market; the Yukon and Denali family of SUVs, and the full line of Sierra pickups. GMC is also the only manufacturer offering three full-size hybrid trucks. And for 2011, GMC has extended its iconic Denali brand to Acadia and the entire Sierra portfolio.
