We are seeking horses that meet the following criteria: Height: Around 15 hands Age: Teen years preferred Temperament: Calm, laid-back, safe around children; stands quietly for grooming, tacking, and mounting Build: Stockier, ranch-type build preferred Experience: Previous lesson horse experience with beginners is ideal, but not required Use: Suitable for lead-line or independent riding Soundness: Sound at the walk and trot (walk, trot, canter preferred)

Location: The equine will be located at Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, Inc., 4185 Walt Robertson Rd/KY Horse Park, Lexington, KY 40511

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope (CKRH) is dedicated to enriching the community by improving the quality of life and health of individuals with special physical, cognitive, emotional or social needs through therapeutic activities with the horse.


Primary Focus involving horses (Horse Welfare, Public Service, Sport & Recreation):  Public Service
The organization is directly responsible for the care and shelter of equines involved in the organization's programs.

The organization conducts Equine Assisted Services (EAS) in accordance with the EQUUS Foundation Guidelines on Qualifications of Organizations Conducting Equine-Assisted Services (EAS)).

The organization provides outreach and/or public education programs involving horses.

100% of our total programs and services are equine-related.

The organization conducts its horse-related programs at one facility.
