Terms of Use

Next Chapters is an online resource for horse lovers to connect directly with organizations that have horses that are ready for adoption and with organizations that are looking for program horses.

By using the services offered on Next Chapters or by continuing to view materials on Next Chapters, you are consenting to be bound by these Terms of Use. This is a legally binding agreement between you and the EQUUS Foundation; please read it carefully.


Release

The EQUUS Foundation is not an agent, broker, or dealer in horses and does not receive any commission on sales. In the event of a dispute, you release the EQUUS Foundation and its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, subcontractors and customers from claims, demands and damages (actual or consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.


Guarantee

The EQUUS Foundation does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of the content.


Editorial Changes

All listings are subject to reasonable editorial changes or deletion.


Intellectual Property

Violating the copyright, trademark, right of publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or other entity is grounds for banning a user. By submitting material or content to be posted, you are representing that you are the owner of the material, or are making your submission with the explicit consent of the owner and that you have obtained all necessary releases associated with the public display and commercial user of the materials.

If you are the owner of copyrighted material (or a patent or trademark) that you believe was uploaded by one of the Next Chapter users, you should contact the EQUUS Foundation with all of the following information: 1) the URL of the listing and 2) the name of the owner that has the exclusive right to the material that is allegedly being infringed The copyrighted work(s) that is allegedly being infringed; and 3) a statement from the owner or its agent stating that the allegedly infringing material was never given authorization to be used.


Indemnification

Users shall indemnify and hold harmless the EQUUS Foundation and its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, subcontractors and customers from and against all allegations, claims, actions, suits, demands, damages, liabilities, obligations, losses, settlements, judgments, costs and expenses (including without limitation attorneys’ fees and costs) which arise out of, relate to or result from any act or omission.


Right to Refuse Service

The EQUUS Foundation reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
